Emotionally Healthy Spirituality
For men and women
Meeting Day/Time:
Vision: It's impossible to be spiritually mature, while remaining emotionally immature.
In this group we'll use Peter Scazzero's book Emotionally Healthy Spirituality, the accompanying "Daily Office" prayer guide and other materials to help us understand the ways that emotional and spiritual health and maturity depend upon one another. We'll learn how to recognize the problem of emotionally unhealthy spirituality in ourselves and explore ways to develop an emotionally healthy spirituality. We'll focus on and practice habits of prayer that encourage emotional healing and spiritual growth in the love of Jesus and in his body, the church community. The group will last 12 to 16 weeks and will be offered again periodically if there is interest.
