« Updates and Prayer Requests for the Aebi's »

:: pray God would heal joe completely- annihilating every growth and tumor in his body. pray he would grow old with his wife, give away his daughter at her wedding and watch his sons be fathers to their children.

:: joe has now tasted the "severe fatigue" of chemo. please pray God's mercy would touch joe and be real to him. pray that the coming week he would be encouraged by renewed strength that grows in his physical body day to day.

:: pray for appetite to return to joe. the lack of appetite feeds the fatigue vicious cycle. so the chemo makes him tired, he looses his appetite and which makes regaining energy difficult w/ little food intake.

:: pray for the physical health of gabe, evelyn and jess. pray their immune systems would be hyper effective to fight off infection. joe's immune system is adversely effected by chemo and the last thing this family needs is a rough flu system.

:: pray for supernatural grace for jess as she walks with joe. pray for her emotional well being as she watches her love- joe have bad days that are difficult for him to get through and good days that make you forget the bad days but then when the bad days come again- it makes it even more difficult to watch... hope that makes sense.

:: pray for baby boy aebi that he would know the blessing of joy and hope his arrival will bring to his family. pray for health and protection over his life.

:: pray for gabe and evelyn- that they would be protected from fear and have an overwhelming sense that they are loved and secure in their family.

:: pray that God would add to joe and jess' faith for healing and wholeness through this journey.

    logistics:

    - please check

    www.whatfriendsdo.com/joe_aebi.

joe's dietary restrictions and needs may flux from week to week the website will keep track of those changes.
    update:
joe was encouraged by his initial meeting w/ dr saab @ the james. it was encouraging b/c his experience treating stage iv stomach cancer includes people who have gone into remission and beaten the poor prognosis that is typical for advanced cancers. while the prognosis has not changed- it is certainly a boost to the morale to hear stories where people DO beat the odds.
