We believe that the kids in our church can play a vital role in our own spiritual formation---and we, in their's.

Our kids make up almost 1/3 of our total community. In order for us all to have an opportunity to share life with the kids in our community---we take turns.

We have opportunities for you to get involved in a lot of different ways.

Teacher:  We ask our teachers to teach for 3 month quarters to give the kids an opportunity to really connect on Sunday mornings with a consistent person. Ideally, teacher would teach 1 quarter a year.

All our teachers agree to a background check as part of the application process. We also ask that teachers are active members of one of our small groups.

Assistant: Our assistants in each classroom commit to serve for two weeks at a time during each 3-month quarter. Your main task is to assist the teacher in whatever duties they ask of you.  This usually includes preparing snack, praying with children, and helping with a craft.

JAM Leader: What is the JAM? ?   The JAM is a group service for kids in grades K-6.  The Kids meet together to hear about the lesson for the day in a creative, fun way.  Then, they go back to their classrooms and learn more about the lesson and how to apply it in an age appropriate way. The JAM usually lasts for about 25 minutes. The commitment is usally 1 service each Sunday in two-week increments (2 weeks on, 2 weeks off).

You'll be part of a larger team and, as a team, work together to coordinate schedules.

Sign-In Table: Sometimes the hardest part of coming to church is getting everyone in the right place once you get there. When families are turning their kids over to the care of CVKids, it's helpful to have a smiling face to help sort things out. You'll be available to answer any questions parents might have about CVKids and help everyone feel welcomed, and safe.  This is a once-a-month commitment.
