On August 30, Central Vineyard marked the culmination of a leadership transition three years on and we shared some important, grateful acknnowledgments. 

We celebrated Kori McCollum, who stepped down from our Board this summer after more than 20 years of service. Kori's steady presence has helped guide this community through countless hard conversations and important decisions and we're deeply grateful for her service. 

We also honored Noami and Noah Turrigiano, who spent 2.5 years leading our worship ministry at CV. Their faithfulness in the midst of juggling kids, work and community life has shaped how we've met God together on Sunday mornings. They will continue serving on our leadership team and serving with us on Sundays. 

Rayli Boyd was installed as our new Worship Resident. Rayli will take up worship coordination and give leadership to our worship community, all while engaging in a year of pastoral and theological formation as part of the role. The congregation formally commissioned her, committing to pray for her, support her, and follow her lead as she steps into this work. 

CV also installed its first slate of elders under our new governance structure: Ebjii Akah, Kati Ray, Thomas McGraw, and June Reynolds alongside Parker Frey and Jared Boyd as elders and lead pastors. We also honored and blessed Karl Boettcher and Hannah Estabrook, who engaged faithfully as provisional elders over the past 18 months and shared their discernment not to move forward toward confirmation. 

Jared preached from Mark 10, kicking off a new ministry year and pointing us toward our Congregational Way of Life. You can listen to the sermon here. We had such a phenomenal turnout, opened signups for Central Communties, and shared a lovely afternoon together around the table with an all community potluck that has us looking forward to the next one.
