A Spring Update from Central Vineyard

There's a lot happening at CV right now, and we want to share a few updates and invite you into what's ahead.

Mark your calendar for our Congregational Meeting after church on Sunday, April 26. We'll spend about an hour presenting a financial update, ministry updates, and answering questions together. We hope this will be a space where we bring clarity, offer direction, and hear your voice as we shape what's ahead for our church.

Where We're Seeing Life

This past February, Parker and Jared traveled to Cambodia to spend time with our partners at Asia's Hope. It was a meaningful and encouraging trip, and we're deeply grateful for the long-standing relationship we share with John, Kori, and the team there. We're continuing to support the student center and working toward greater clarity around how this partnership will function and grow in the years ahead.

Closer to home, Central Communities continue to grow in health and participation. We're encouraged by the ways many of you are leaning into rhythms of prayer, shared life, and formation as we work through the first draft of our Congregational Way of Life. We've heard thoughtful and helpful feedback so far, and we'll continue to listen and refine as we move forward together.

We're also seeing steady, incremental growth as a congregation. There's a real sense of life in our times of worship and prayer ministry on Sundays. We're watching people grow in honesty and vulnerability, and almost every day we catch glimpses of the quiet, steady work of God taking root in our community.

Naomi and Noah Turrigiano recently led our worship teams through a catalytic weekend of training and team building with our friend and longtime Vineyard leader Mike O'Brien. We're really hopeful for the direction our worship ministry is heading.

Our provisional elder process is also nearing a point of clarity. This has been a meaningful season of discernment, and we're grateful for the ways our elders, board, and leadership team continue to serve the church with wisdom and care.

Where We're Headed

As we look ahead, we're continuing to invest in a few key areas of our life together.

We're moving forward with planning for the basement project, which we believe can become a meaningful expression of hospitality and presence in our neighborhood. This continues to take shape, and we're looking forward to sharing more concrete updates on the 26th.

Alongside these efforts, we remain focused on cultivating a church shaped by prayer, formation, and shared life through what's happening on Sundays, in Central Communities, and in smaller spaces we're creating throughout the year.

An Invitation to Participate

As we move into this next season, we want to invite our whole church into deeper participation.

One of the ways we live into this shared life is through generosity as a practice that forms us and roots us in trust. It's one of the ways we say, "We're part of this, and we're invested in what God is doing here."

If you call Central Vineyard home, we believe generosity is part of what it means to participate in this community.

If you've never given before, we'd love to invite you to take a first step, even if that simply means starting a conversation or asking a question.

If your giving has been occasional, this may be a moment to move toward consistency.

And if you already give regularly, we'd invite you to prayerfully consider whether God might be leading you to grow in that.

We're really grateful for the many ways you serve, give, and participate in the life of Central Vineyard. We're genuinely encouraged by what we're seeing, and we're so hopeful about what's to come.
