Dear Central Vineyard,

I want to share some exciting news - we have hired a Worship Resident!

Rayli Boyd, who many of you know has been worshipping and serving with us for most of this year, will be joining our team part time leading worship, developing and caring for our worship team, and engaging a structured year of theological and pastoral formation reporting to me as the leader of our staff.

Rayli comes to us with some incredible experience. She's worked with multiple churches in our movement, including Evanston Vineyard in the Chicagoland area as well as serving as a Worship Coordinator at Vineyard Columbus Grandview, leading volunteers with a congregation of 200+. She's led in Vineyard National Gatherings, worship leaders conferences and trainings, and she is deeply committed to this community in ways that go beyond worship including trips with Asia's Hope in Cambodia, interning at CATCH Court, and serving regularly with Sanctuary Night.

Above all, I'm confident that Rayli will be a thoughtful, caring presence who brings real enthusiasm to this work and I can't wait to see the ways her gifts impact our Sunday gatherings and the broader team we're building together.

Of course, this builds on years of faithful work from Naomi and Noah Turrigiano, who have held our worship ministry with such care. I hope you can be with us this weekend as we celebrate the Turrigianos and welcome Rayli in this role.

I also think it's crucial to acknowledge that we recognize hiring a family member of a current staff person can raise questions. As a part of this announcement I want to share that Jared was formally recused from every aspect of the hire and will not have any supervisory responsibilities of this role. As co-leaders, Jared and I have clearly articulated areas of responsibility. Jared leads our elder team, and I lead our staff and serve on our Board. I interviewed Rayli alongside two of our elders and made the final decision in consultation with our elder team. If you have any questions about how we got here, you can reach out to me any time, and you can also click this link to see additional documentation of the full process.

With love,

Parker Frey | Co-Lead Pastor
