Friends,
With the ongoing government shutdown and impending disruption of federal food benefits (SNAP), some within our own congregation as well as many of our neighbors—are facing new uncertainty about how to put food on the table. Local food pantries are doing all they can, but the need across our city continues to grow.
At Central Vineyard, we believe we're called to show up for one another and our neighbors in tangible, ordinary ways, especially when systems and safety nets begin to strain. Our Shared Economy Fund exists for this very reason: to share what we have so that no one in our community faces need alone.
If you or someone you know could use some support with groceries in the weeks ahead, I encourage you to apply for assistance through the Shared Economy Fund. What’s in the fund is only a drop in the bucket compared with the need that exists in our neighborhood, but we’re committed to doing what we can.
And if you’re in a position to give, your contribution to the fund will help us meet as many requests as possible.

Give to the Shared Economy Fund
This is an opportunity for us to practice what we say we believe and to live out a shared economy of generosity, hospitality, and presence, both toward one another and toward our neighborhood. I’m praying this week that God, in his kindness, would give us opportunities to ask for what we need and to give to those who ask—each according to our need and ability.
With love and hope,
Parker Frey | Pastor
